About Me

FIELDcolour.jpg

I have Fashion Business Management academic background with interest in sustainable fashion, textile waste diversion and social inequality issue in the fashion industry.

I have obtained several skills and employed my strength during my working career and studies like in the FIELD placement where I and my team worked to solve a challenge for H Project, a sustainable division at Holt Renfrew which sells sustainable curated luxury fashion from the around the world. All the mentioned experiences helped shape who I am today.

Some of my strengths are how confident I am in my professional ethics, and my identity as an intellectual woman who wants to make an impact in any industry of my choice. Also, I am a born leader who effectively and seamlessly manages her team in different settings; for instance, I am currently a Senior SDG Coordinator at Seneca College and founder of the SDG Student Hub Seneca with over 160 members recruited in just 7 months. Through the hub, I lead a management team of 12 members from different programs to educate youth and raise awareness on the UNSDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals), collaborate with faculty and external partners on new initiatives to tackle the SDGs, and integrate them for a social impact on campus, and local communities.

Moreover, I am SDSN Canada’s Chair of Research and Events Organization in a national campaign for youth declaring climate emergencies in Ontario and other Canadian provinces. As a chair, I am designing and creating a research outline to collect climate action progress data from different provinces, with which I will lead and supervise the research progress of Canada's SDSN national campaign with climate emergency initiative led entirely by students across Canada.
